An App to Try On for Size: Zappos Mobile
To my delight, I discovered the app is free, leaving me with absolutely no excuse to not add it to my repertoire of apps on my iPhone 4. The app, which appears and works almost identically to the normal Zappos.com, offers shoe lovers an intuitive, fun and easy shopping experience.
Upon launch of the app, a main page produced a search tab that allowed me to search for brand or keyword, or to browse through merchandise categories. To give it a whirl -- and to begin my search for a pair of silver heels for an upcoming wedding -- I typed in a favorite shoe brand of mine, Bandolino. A list of choices immediately appeared that I had the option to filter according to color, price, brand, size and width.
Unfortunately, filtering out the choices by silver didn’t leave me with much to desire, but upon selecting one pair of shoes, I was led to a page that showed product details and customer reviews. Tapping on a particular item also allowed me to view my choice from all angles, while tapping the “Enhance” button produced a more detailed and up-close image to ensure buckles and other shoe features didn’t fly under my radar. Each item even comes paired with a video description for the ultimate review!
